Mini-vacation down south ...

Sounds like a great getaway. I'm from South Carolina. I'm about 1-2 hours from the mountains and 3 1/2 to 4 hrs. from the coast (Myrtle Beach). So we are like NC we have both. I'm about 2 1/2 hrs. from Charleston. It's a nice place there. I want to go back down there when it gets warmer. When I went last time the wind was blowing so bad and very cool. I did get so see some dolphin swimming in the harbor.
You probably heard this in your travel down here. Y'all come back and visit us again. Good Ole Southern Hospitality.
You know I've never been to Biltmore either and I live this close. I may put that on the to do list this spring or summer.

(((( hugs Teresa ))))) It was very windy! And chilly! But it sure was better than Ohio! haha Yes we did see some dolphins too! I am ready to come back for sure! I wish we had been able to stay longer. We did not make it to Biltmore (darnit) but did see it all lit up on the mountain side. His foot was bothering him so we just went in search of good BBQ and found it! You are so right about good ole southern hospitality! and great grits, BBQ and biscuits! haha I am hoping to get down to NC this summer. I do a lot of genealogy research in that area. I will have to see what I can work out. The darn gas $ is the big travel factor. I can stay with relatives.

OH ... my sister is moving to Fripp Island, SC hopefully within the next 1-2 years. They bought a lot there 10 years ago and are finally working with an architect so hopefully she will get a house so I will be able to visit. Maybe we can meet up?

Your gentleman friend sounds like a really nice guy. He is lucky to have such a sweet and wonderful lady like you to share his adventures with.

I would love to travel in those areas myself....who knows maybe we will one day. We love history too.

Connie beat me to it when she said she'd like to travel in those areas that you visited with "Mister Good GUY" (tee hee).  I have always wanted to travel East & South and maybe one day I will get the chance.  I know it'll be alot more fun to travel with all my excess weight gone so I can walk and even run!! 
Winter continues to hang on here with piles and piles of snow and more on the way.  I can hardly wait for spring.

Hi Sandy ... I want to travel west! I have never even been to CA! I have been to Seattle & Alaska (cruise). Losing weight does make a huge difference (more energy, fitting in to seats, rides, etc and of course cute traveling clothes). I enjoy all types of travel.

We have not had piles and piles of snow, just really cold and miserable. I am sick of it for sure!

That is so cool that you met a guy like that. Ive been with my husband for 29 years and we travel some. We are going to drive up to Asheville on april 6th for a week. Meeting up with Joyce and John Stewart. I cant wait. We are also staying with some friends that live in Asheville.
Also going for the Jewish Passover.
If you ever get to Florida let me know.
I live in a hot spot also.
